Microbiome Restoration

The microbiome is the unique collection of trillions of microscopic organisms living on or within us.  In fact, there are actually 10 times more microbial cells in or on the body than there are human cells!  Genetically speaking, 99% of our DNA belongs to these microbes (bacteria, viruses, fungi, and archaea)! We live in balance with this community of microbes and they play essential roles in our wellbeing.  These organisms typically aid in health, but can cause harm if they are poorly balanced or negatively impacted by stress, trauma, and chemical, or environmental influence. The microbiome can be optimized with modifications to daily lifestyle habits or complete overhauls in microflora for many reasons including chronic disease, travel, antibiotic use, trauma, surgery, or to create a healthy foundation for pregnancy.

Men's Health

Why does Dr. Cory care so much about Men's Health?  Well, men on average live five years less than women, are more likely to die from eight out of the top ten causes of death in the United States, and are more likely to regularly smoke and consume higher amounts of alcohol. Dr. Cory has spent much of his career working closely to improve some of those statistics with his integrative, wholistic approach. Some of the more common issues he helps with are:

  • Stress

  • Fatigue

  • Sexual health

  • Prediabetes and Diabetes

  • Hypertension

  • High cholesterol

  • Prostate health

  • Weight loss

  • Respiratory illness

  • Depression

Pediatrics

There is an old proverb, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure", that most embodies the reason Dr. Cory is passionate about pediatric medicine.  Treating a condition when it presents itself is important but to understand what caused it in the first place can be life changing. Childhood is a time for growth and development, a time for nourishment and protection.  Let's work together to build a stronger, healthier and happier generation for years to come.
